FAQ

Q. Is a normal BMI a sign of good health?
BMI is only a reference indicator. Body fat percentage, muscle mass, and waist circumference should also be considered. Athletes with high muscle mass may have a high BMI without being obese.

Q. Does the same standard apply to children?
No. For children and adolescents, age- and gender-specific growth chart percentiles are used instead.
